This adventure begins with the train’s departure from the mighty Zambezi River's spectacular Victoria Falls on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. A full day of sightseeing in the Victoria Falls area is included. East of Victoria Falls our train travels through part of Hwange National Park, a rich and diverse wildlife sanctuary where we take you on a game drive. Then as the train heads south we stop to enjoy another game drive in Matobo National Park with bushmen caves, rock art and dramatic granite hills. Back on our private train we travel through over one of the World's longest stretches of railway line which is 71 miles. As we cross the Tropic of Capricorn and Limpopo River we enter South Africa and finally pull into Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria.
Please dress accordingly for game drives/excursions: mornings can be cool then warm up considerably; afternoons can be warm then cool down considerably. Warm clothing, comfortable shoes, hats and sun protection are advised. Rain capes are available.
17:00 Depart from Victoria Falls Station, Zimbabwe. Guests may freshen up in their suites before joining fellow travellers ESWATINI in the lounge car or observation car at the rear of the train.
19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Malindi. Dress: Formal

05:00 A continental breakfast is served in the dining cars until departure.
06:00 Enjoy a game drive in Hwange National Park, the nation’s largest wildlife area at 1 462 000ha.
12:00 Lunch is served in the dining cars. The train travels along one of the world’s longest stretches of straight railway line – 114km en route to Bulawayo: second city of Zimbabwe, capital of Matabeleland and industrial capital of the country.
16:30 Tea in the lounge and Cape observation cars.
19:30 Dinner is served in the Town dining cars. Dress: Formal

08:00 Transfer (±45 min) to Matobo National Park to see bushmen caves, rock art and the grave of Cecil John Rhodes.
13:00 Lunch is served in the dining cars as the train travels baobab country.
16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars as the train descends to Gwanda.
19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Beitbridge for Zimbabwean border formalities. Dress: Formal
07:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars. The train crosses the Limpopo River to Musina for South African border formalities. In Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories, the ‘Elephant’s Child’ departs his family for the “great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, to find out what the Crocodile has for dinner.”
13:00 Lunch is served in the dining cars. The train crosses the Tropic of Capricorn.
16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.
19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Pyramid, passing the edge of the escarpment where the Highveld drops precipitously. Dress: Formal
